Guy's media production career began in American public television decades ago, working alongside Paul Lally (dir. Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood). Not surprisingly, working with Lally introduced Guy to the power of media advocacy. Guy later enlisted this video advocacy creating workshops for the monks of Namgyal Monastery in Dharamsala, India, to shoot, edit, and preserve the teachings of the Fourteenth Dalai Lama of Tibet.

Recognizing that education and representation are profound agents of social change, Guy went on to found Handheld Stories, a non-profit organization providing communities confronting critical social issues the tools and equipment to document their experiences in unique narratives and promote their stories online. Guy has led workshops and training for communities worldwide including The West Bank, Palestine, Dharavi Slum, (Mumbai, India), various locations in Nepal, Africa, and the United States.

Guy also dedicated years teaching photography and filmmaking in Dubai. Many of Guy’s former students now form the backbone of the country’s media and film production industries and have won numerous national and international awards. A few have become celebrities in their own right.

Guy currently works as a freelance photographer and media producer, offering digital media strategies to help businesses, communities, and organizations share their authentic narratives with the world.
